Founded by Thomas Twining in 1706, Twinings is steeped in history and tradition. Opened as Britain’s first tea room, it still occupies the same building at 216 Strand Place, London. At Twinings, tea is not just a drink, it is something which has transcended generations and the blending of which has become an art form. Granted a Royal warrant by Queen Victoria in 1837, Twinings has become a pillar of Great British tradition.
